DAY IN THE LIFE
Editor's note:Our subscribers asked for more information about the people of the Federal Reserve, so we offer this feature: Day in the Life.
Meet Brandon Campbell, information technology support analyst, who joined the Cleveland Fed’s information technology end-user support team in January 2023.
What is a typical workday for you?
Once I get in the building or logged in remotely, it’s pretty much off to the races. I meet with my team to exchange ideas, discuss incident trends, brainstorm solutions, and identify potential bottlenecks that could hinder our progress in resolving the tickets assigned to us. Then I start implementing fixes and reaching out to users to resolve their issues. Throw in a couple meetings and some emails and Teams messages, and that pretty much sums up my typical workday.
What do you find rewarding about your job?
Working with users to solve their issues and watching them take those solutions to help others throughout the Bank is very rewarding, as is working with my teammates.
What surprised you the most about the Bank?
I think what surprised me the most is how down to earth and relatable people are here at the Bank. In my role, I have to communicate and work across all levels of the organization, and I find this to be true of everyone.
Who do you admire most?
I would say I look up to my dad the most. He is a great role model. He’s been through a lot in life and has always kept his cool and persevered.
How do you spend your time outside of the Bank?
I mostly spend my free time with family and friends. I enjoy going to the movies and concerts and trying new restaurants. I enjoy tailgating at sporting events and watching the Bengals and Buckeyes play football. I am also currently working on my golf swing and pool game; both are a work in progress.
